Achievement of Royan Institute faculty member in obtaining Georg Forster International scholarship
Georg Forster’s international scholarship was awarded to Dr. Alireza Alizadeh Moghadam Masoleh, a member of the scientific faculty of the Royan Institute.
This grant is awarded annually by the German Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to researchers whose scientific competence is evident at the international level and who have numerous articles and opinions in their scientific field.
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is granting up to six Georg Forster Research Awards annually to internationally renowned academics from developing and transition countries in recognition of their academic record. Funding for the award is being provided by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
One of the goals of this grant is to create scientific communication networks between Germany and researchers around the world and to create joint collaborations hosted by this country.
Candidates for this grant must have fundamental discoveries and new theories and insights to contribute to the development of research-based solutions to the challenges facing developing countries through this scientific collaboration.
In addition, Award winners are invited to conduct a research project of their own choosing in Germany in close collaboration with a specialist colleague. The six to twelve months project duration may be divided into segments. The objective of inviting award winners to Germany is to contribute to the long-term promotion of outstanding scientific multipliers in transition and developing countries whose research will contribute to improving living conditions in their own countries.
