Specialized Symposium on Assisted Reproductive Technologies and Pregnancy in Infertile Women Over the Reproductive Age
In commemoration of the late Dr. Saeed Kazemi Ashtiani, the specialized symposium on Assisted Reproductive Technologies and pregnancy in infertile women over the reproductive age will be held at the Royan Institute's conference hall,on January 2, 2025. This scientific event aims to enhance the knowledge and awareness of professionals regarding infertility and pregnancy in older women, as well as examine the implications of pregnancy in this age group. The symposium will also address the management of pregnancy-related complications in women of advanced age.
With delayed marriage and childbearing, infertility in women over the reproductive age has become one of the significant challenges in reproductive health. Recent research indicates that advanced age can negatively impact egg quality, embryo development, and the success rates of assisted reproductive techniques. Therefore, this symposium provides an opportunity for specialists and researchers to share the latest scientific advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to infertility with participants.
The symposium will focus on advanced treatments and techniques such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) for older women. Key topics will include the physiology of reproductive function and infertility in older women, methods for diagnosing and screening embryo health, characteristics of eggs and embryos, and the use of laboratory techniques to improve IVF outcomes. Additionally, cardiovascular complications in older women and their management, as well as the role of lifestyle in fertility, will be discussed.
This symposium offers a valuable opportunity for gynecologists, reproductive biologists, geneticists, nutritionists, obstetricians, fertility health experts, cardiologists, nurses, operating room staff, general practitioners, and anesthesiologists to update their scientific knowledge and enhance their professional expertise. Furthermore, participants will have the chance to earn continuing education credits and familiarize themselves with the latest methodologies and scientific achievements in infertility and pregnancy management for women over 35.
